Many of the Oneida Indians are located in a reservation just west of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Although they don't have a great deal of land they are successfully raising money in the Oneida Casino and by sales of tobacco.
In the town of Oneida, there are multiple education programs. The town has a newspaper office, law offices, a cannery, a food distribution center, health center, an Oneida Nation Museum, and a community center. Every program under the direction of the tribal council has the goal of improving the Oneida Indians success. There is a strong feeling that every Oneida should become a self-sufficient, proud member of their community.
